Am I missing the point of jumplists?  I just want quicklaunch back for one of my customers.

Migration on XP to Win7 presents its challanges working in a corporate environment.

The expectation is that Win7 is better but I am finding most customers want the old 'feel' back of XP when it comes to day to day workflow. The taskbar is one of those items...

I am finding about 50% of the users want the old way back...

The rest try out the new way with jumplists...

I found this one on the Win7 forum...

<snip>
OK, the quicklaunch bar absolutely works in Windows7 -
From the Windows7 forums:

Step 1: Right click on the Taskbar and choose Toolbars and then New Toolbar.
Step 2: Now copy and paste the following line into the Folder box in the New Toolbar dialog box:
%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
Click SAVE
Step 3: Now you’ll see the Quick Launch bar shows up at the right of the taskbar. Next, right-click on the Taskbar and turn off Lock the Taskbar.
Step 4: Right-click on the divider and turn off Show Text and Show Title. Also, click on View and change it to Small Icons.

Just an FYI - about half way through this process you will start to think - "Am I doing this right" - I worked through this to setup a migration for an XP to Win7 user and it actually works just like the old XP - but at the sacrafice of the Jumplists feature...
